Kitchen Renovation In 5 Steps

STEP 1: The Brainstorm and Space Planning 

You would like to renovate but are not sure what is possible to achieve in the space you have. Includes in-home meeting, taking measurements, task and user orientation questionnaire. We present 2-4 optional layouts based on the space available and your intended use of the new kitchen. After discussing the merits of each layout, 1-2 detailed elevation drawings are generated to aid in decision making.

Discuss appliance recommendations. We also refer you to our trusted appliance specialist for exceptional service (and best prices).

Optional: Full scale model (priced hourly)

If you have trouble visualizing the details, we can make a full scale model of various portions of the design to really determine some of those final dimensions.

STEP 2: Make It Gorgeous 

Note, we believe that only functional spaces can be beautiful, so step one has to be completed.

Time to work out the esthetics of your new kitchen by selecting a style and color pallete. We will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each option for cabinets, mechanisms, door panels and hardware. Also you will have our counter, backsplash and sink recommendations. At the end of this process we will have the selected design quoted by our trusted cabinet makers and countertop manufacturers.

Custom sinks design, custom backsplash layout drawings, custom butcher block and other unique features of the future kitchen will be specified at this step (priced hourly).

STEP 3: Lighting/Electrical Layout 

A detailed drawing is required to provide the electrician with the type and exact location of lighting fixtures including switches with their position and function.

STEP 4: Make It Legal 

If the scope of project is such that building permits are needed, we will produce all required paperwork and drawings and apply for permits on your behalf. We will pick up and deliver your permit.

STEP 5: Managing The Renovation

We can recommend all the trades needed to complete your project. We will supervise the progress, specify details and solve problems as they arise in the process. We will be there at all the critical installation points to make sure everything goes smoothly. We have very high standards, making sure no corners get cut and nothing slips through the cracks.
